Skin Tightening
Tixel can be performed to treat fine lines/wrinkles, scarring, uneven skin tone, pigmentation, acne and even rosacea.
Tixel uses heat and pressure to induce a healing response in the skin. The metallic plate is heated to 400 degrees and applied to the skin for a millisecond. The damage created by this method is rapid and controlled meaning downtime is less than commonly seen in lasers and plasma devices. This is a non surgical method of skin tightening and is effective and safe to use for fine lines and lifting around the eyes.
Tixel can also be used at low settings and topical treatment can be applied for better penetration and efficacy. This is effective in treating acne, pigmentation and rosacea.
What areas can be treated?
Tixel is safe to be performed around the eyes, face, neck, décolletage and hands.
What is the downtime & Aftercare?
Your skin will be red and hot post treatment; this will subside within a few hours. Swelling is common when treating around that eye and can last a few days. Redness can last a min of 3 days at this point your skin will become dry and flaky as it goes through the healing stages. This process generally takes about 7-10 days and can be covered with makeup.

While the treatment may be performed to treat acne, any active infections or open wounds can be contraindicated to the treatment.

The Tixel skin tightening procedure
Before starting your treatment, the skin in the treatment area will be cleaned to ensure a hygienic procedure. Numbing cream may be applied for a more comfortable treatment, depending on your personal preferences.
The device is then heated to 400 degrees and applied to the skin for a millisecond. The pure radiated heat prompts the skin’s natural healing response, tightening and resurfacing the skin over time. Patients can feel the sensation of heat during the treatment, but this should subside within a few hours after your session.
Treatments can take about 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the details of your personalised plan. Downtime is minimal and you will be able to resume your daily routine after your session.
