“Factor 4 may be used for male and female pattern hair loss, that utilises the body’s own growth factors to support hair on the scalp. I will often combine this with medication and your suitability is discussed during your consultation.” – Dr. Scott Allison.

What we can improve
FINE LINES AND WRINKLES
We can treat fine lines and wrinkles by encouraging the production of collagen and elastin in the skin. Factor 4 treatment also increases the thickness of the dermis, helping to further smooth out the skin and blur imperfections.
SKIN TONE AND TEXTURE
When we increase the collagen in the skin through Factor 4, textural irregularities are decreased. This gives a supple, smooth surface to the skin, supporting a smoother-looking surface. This may be used on the face, neck, decolletage and back of the hands.
SCARRING
Factor 4 may help improve the appearance of both flat and raised scars. It’s particularly useful when combined with skin needling.
HAIR LOSS
The growth proteins in your Factor 4 serum can be used to thicken hair. It may support hair follicles during the growth phase. It may be combined with oral medications, and results vary between individuals.
How many treatments do I need?
After your blood has been harvested you will have four treatments for the skin and six treatments for hair loss. The first treatment can often be performed on the same day as the blood harvest. Each treatment is generally spaced 2 weeks apart. During each treatment we prepare the skin and supply you with all of the pre- and post-treatment creams you will require.
Recovery and After Care
The redness and swelling generally resolves within 24 hours. Small bruises may take 1-2 weeks to resolve, however these can often be covered up with makeup.
Hydrate your skin 3-5 times a day using a recovery balm or hypoallergenic moisturiser. Use mild cleansing products only. Do not use any ‘active’ products such as retinol or AHA’s for 5 days. Avoid touching or rubbing the area. Sun protection is vital for the first week to prevent pigment changes in the skin. No swimming for 5 days.
Pricing
Pricing for Factor 4 varies based on individual needs, as the required dosages differ.
Factor 4 Before & After
All non-surgical cosmetic procedures carry potential risks and side effects. These may vary depending on the treatment, the products used, and the individual. It’s important to have a comprehensive consultation with a registered health practitioner prior to undergoing any procedure to understand the risks, potential outcomes, and aftercare requirements.
Suitable candidates for the treatment
Factor 4 can be suitable for those who want to treat skin ageing, uneven skin tone and texture, scarring, hair loss and more. Candidates will need to have a consultation to be assessed for suitability.
Suitable candidates should have realistic expectations for the results of the treatment and be willing to follow their personalised treatment plan. Candidates should also be able to follow aftercare instructions. Some contraindications to
Factor 4 which will be discussed during your consultation can include if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, taking certain medications or have certain health conditions that may interfere with treatment.

The Factor 4 procedure
At the beginning of your treatment, the treatment areas will be cleaned to ensure proper hygiene throughout your session.
To perform the procedure, blood will be carefully drawn and processed into a concentrated serum. Depending on your needs, the personalised serum can then be applied to specific areas of the skin or placed into the scalp to support hair restoration.
Depending on the type of treatment you will receive, treatments typically take around one hour to perform. During your consultation, you can discuss your procedure steps in further detail. You will need to be aware of some aftercare steps after your treatment, but you should typically be able to resume your normal daily routine.
