Dr Lisa Byrom, BPhty. MB BS. MPhil. FACD.

Dr Lisa Byrom is a Specialist Dermatologist and Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists, with extensive expertise in acne, rosacea, pregnancy-related skin conditions, and hair loss concerns. She is passionate about delivering evidence-based, holistic care that supports patients in achieving healthy, radiant skin.
After completing her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at The University of Queensland, Dr Byrom undertook her Master of Philosophy in melanoma research, followed by specialist Dermatology training across leading Queensland hospitals and clinics. She has also pursued additional training in advanced laser therapies, including vascular and COâ‚‚ lasers.
Alongside her clinical practice, Dr Byrom is Queensland Director of Training for the Australasian College of Dermatologists, a Senior Lecturer at The University of Queensland, and an internationally published researcher with over 30 peer-reviewed publications. She is also Co-Chair of the national All About Acne group, where she leads a multidisciplinary approach to adult-onset acne care.
At Ascension, Dr Lisa Byrom provides specialist dermatological care for acne, rosacea, hair loss (including female and male pattern hair loss), and melasma.
