Recommended Treatments
Our acne scarring treatments range from non-invasive options, such as skin peels or advanced laser therapy, to minimally invasive options, like micro-needling. The treatment plan will depend on your individual needs and expectations.
A consultation with Dr. Scott Allison or one of our experienced Dermal Clinicians will help decide the most suitable treatment option for you. We will assess the condition of your skin, discuss any health conditions or allergies and create a personalised treatment plan for your chosen procedure.

Treatments
01 Â / Morpheus8 RF Micro-Needling
Micro-needling can be a very effective method to treat acne scarring. Causing tiny micro injuries in the skin, small needles create punctures in the specific area, triggering the body’s healing response. Healing the treated skin over time, the body naturally repairs the affected area.
With an innovative combination of micro-needling and radiofrequency (RF) technology, Morpheus8 uses an electric current to stimulate the skin, while micro-needling creates micro injuries. The treatment stimulates collagen and elastin production, with technology that allows for faster treatment times and minimised heat exposure to surrounding areas.
Treatments with Morpheus8 take about 10-20 minutes, depending on the desired treatment area. As a minimally invasive treatment, you should be able to resume daily activities as normal after your appointment, but you will need to follow some aftercare steps to support healing. Multiple treatments in a personalised plan will achieve the most effective results.
02 Â / CO2 Laser Skin Resurfacing
Using advanced laser therapy, our CO2 laser can efficiently treat various types of acne scarring. The treatment works by ablating targeted areas of the skin into tunneling micro-columns, using laser energy applied. The CO2 laser transforms light energy into heat, which helps to coagulate tissue and promote the production of collagen and elastin.
Treatments can take about 30 minutes, but treatment time will be determined by your personalised procedure steps. After your treatment, the skin will peel and shed, so a recovery period of about 5-7 days can be expected.
03 Â / PicoSure Pro Laser
With ultra-short laser pulses and high peak power, the advanced PicoSure Pro laser can treat superficial or shallow acne scarring (scars that are on or just below the top layer of the skin) and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH).
The laser can target scarred skin, promoting the production of collagen and elastin, which will help to reduce the appearance of scarring. Treatments typically take less than 30 minutes and allow you to resume your daily routine afterwards.
Depending on the condition of your scarring and your personal needs, you may need multiple treatment sessions to achieve your desired results. A personalised treatment plan will be put together to help you effectively treat your scarring.
04 Â / Skin Needling – Without Radiofrequency (RF)
As an alternative to Morpheus8, skin needling using tiny pinpricks on the skin to create micro-injuries can help to treat acne scarring.
Skin needling prompts the body to produce more collagen and elastin, healing the treated skin. Treatments can take around 20-30 minutes and are generally most effective when performed in a series of sessions (typically about six sessions).
While you’ll be able to resume your normal routine after treatment, the skin may feel tight, warm, sensitive and appear red. You will need to follow some aftercare instructions to help your skin heal and prevent any complications.
04 Â / Skin Peels
Exfoliating the top layer of the skin, chemical peels, also known as skin peels, can help to reduce the appearance of superficial or shallow scarring over time. As a non-invasive option, our peels vary in strength and are available with different active ingredients, allowing us to create a personalised treatment.
Our range of pigmentation peels can be suitable options for treating post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) acne scarring. Generally, peels are a more tolerable treatment, sometimes creating a mild to advanced tingling sensation or warmth in the treated area.
Skin peels can be performed as a standalone treatment or combined with other treatment methods.
