Assoc. Prof. Lisa Byrom is a Specialist Dermatologist and Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists (FACD), with a clinical focus on acne, rosacea, pregnancy-related skin conditions, and hair loss.

Assoc. Prof. Byrom holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPhty) from The University of Queensland. She then completed her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), also at The University of Queensland. She went on to complete a Master of Philosophy (MPhil), with a thesis on the influence of pregnancy, parity, and sex on melanoma prognosis, followed by specialist Dermatology training across several Queensland hospitals and clinics. She has also pursued additional training in laser therapies, including vascular and CO2 lasers.

She is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists, reflecting her specialist registration in Dermatology.

Alongside her clinical practice, Assoc. Prof. Byrom is Queensland Director of Training for the Australasian College of Dermatologists, a Senior Lecturer at The University of Queensland, and a researcher with over 30 peer-reviewed publications. She is also Co-Chair of the national All About Acne group, where she leads a multidisciplinary approach to adult-onset acne care.

At Ascension, Assoc. Prof. Lisa Byrom provides specialist dermatological care for acne, rosacea, hair loss (including female and male pattern hair loss), and melasma. Her Acne and Rosacea Clinic runs twice a month at Ascension. Appointments can be booked through reception.
